Run the 2023 TCS NYC Marathon with Brave Like Gabe

The Brave Like Gabe Foundation is honored to be an Official Charity Partner for the 2023 TCS NYC Marathon. The TCS NYC Marathon will take place on November 5th, 2023. We will have a limited number of guaranteed marathon entries to offer up to runners who commit to raising funds on behalf of the Brave Like Gabe Foundation for rare cancer research. If you have already secured a 2023 TCS NYC Marathon entry through the lottery or a qualifying time, you can still participate and fundraise for Team BLG—we just ask that you still complete an application so we can meet you!

Being part of Team Brave Like Gabe means…

  • You’ll be invited to fun race weekend gatherings in NYC

  • You’ll have a personalized fundraising page through Give Lively

  • You’ll receive helpful support through the fundraising process including tips and tools

  • You’ll be gifted awesome BLG swag

  • You’ll be a part of hopeful team pep talks (through access to a team group message and regular Team BLG meetings)

We will contact you with our decisions regarding our 2023 Charity Bib Team by March 17th

Our 2022 Team BLG experience in New York

Team Brave Like Gabe ran the TCS New York City Marathon on November 6th, 2022. As a team, they collectively raised close to $70,000 for rare cancer research! It was an amazing weekend of joy, hope, and teamwork—we are so grateful!

Founded by Gabriele Grunewald, the Brave Like Gabe Foundation exists to inspire people to share stories of being brave through their own struggles while also helping to find better and more effective treatments for rare cancers. Her legacy continues in all those sharing #mybravestory and choosing to keep running on hope. The Brave Like Gabe NYC Team is an example of an incredible group that inspires us to keep running on hope and raising money for cancer research.
